Jordi Grinyo

Jordi Grinyó is a PhD student at the Department of Marine Biology of the Institut de Ciències del Mar in Barcelona. His thesis project aims to characterize the benthic communities and gorgonian populations in the Menorca Channel, at a depth range from 40 to 400 m. He is also studying several ecological and biological aspects of the gorgonian Paramuricea macrospina, as well as the main environmental factors that drive benthic communities in the study area. By means of a multidisciplinary approach, the final aim of his thesis is to generate the knowledge for the management of the Menorca Channel.
